As part of the $1.177 billion Phase II Silver Line expansion, Berkeley Glass provided specialized glazing systems for the new Herndon Metro Station — a critical transit hub connecting Northern Virginia to Washington, D.C., and Dulles International Airport. Located within the median of VA-267, the elevated station features pedestrian bridges spanning the highway, linking commuters to multi-level parking facilities and regional bus connections.

Berkeley Glass supplied and installed high-performance architectural glazing throughout the station’s pedestrian bridges, platform enclosures, and public access areas. Each glass system was engineered for durability, safety, and visibility, ensuring long-term resilience against weather and vibration while maintaining an open, modern aesthetic for the traveling public.

The completed Herndon Station embodies the vision of the Silver Line project — modern, accessible, and efficient infrastructure that connects communities and supports transit-oriented growth in one of Virginia’s most dynamic regions.
